Job summary

Daybreak Foods, Inc. seeks an Animal Caretaker to care for chickens and maintain their living environment in a production setting. You will monitor welfare, assist with barn conditions and report findings to the supervisor, while performing light maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience in agricultural environment and animal care preferred.
• Must be self-directed and organized.

Responsibilities

• Attend to welfare and environment of the chickens.
• Monitor barn conditions and report issues.
• Document tasks daily and weekly.
• Perform light maintenance on facilities and equipment.
• Safely operate required equipment and tools.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate understanding of laying hen husbandry.
• Monitor bird health and production.
