Job summary

Versova, a major egg producer in the United States, seeks a Flock Specialist I to support barn operations and ensure poultry welfare. You will follow established routines and regulatory guidelines while performing various poultry-related tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, cleaning facilities, and keeping accurate flock records. Night/weekend availability and physical fitness are required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of general work experience.
• Must lift 50 lbs, reach, bend, twist, and work in varying climates.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Overtime may be required based on production demand.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health and welfare of poultry in the barns.
• Follow USDA, FDA and other regulations and procedures.
• Check feeders, waterers and other poultry equipment.
• Clean barns, pens, feeders, water devices, and egg transfers.
• Keep records on poultry mortality, feeding and flock data.
• Fix jams and adjust lighting and ventilation as needed.
• Assist with removing dead birds and maintaining facilities.
