Job summary

Versova is seeking a Flock Specialist I to support barns operations and ensure health and welfare of poultry. You will perform poultry-related tasks per instructions and routines, with adherence to FDA, USDA, SQF, and OSHA standards. Supervision is minimal with inspections and results review.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and ability to adapt to varying climates. Prior farm experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in various climate conditions.
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Any combination of training and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean poultry houses, feeders, water devices and egg transfers.
• Keep records on poultry mortality, feeding, and flock information.
• Follow USDA, FDA and other regulations and established routines.
• Assist with catching birds and removing dead birds as needed.
• Ensure proper lighting and ventilation in barns.
