Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive work atmosphere with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
• Maintains regular attendance in relation to production scheduling and guidelines.
• Vaccinates and/or sprays disinfectants on chickens or in layer houses.
• Adjusts lighting by lengthening/shortening ropes to meet lighting schedule.
• Moves feed, ventilation, lighting and water to meet animal needs.
• Carries equipment between areas as needed.
• Removes mortality from barn cages and records daily reports.
• Repairs non-manure/non-electrical equipment; assists with maintenance.
• Catches loose birds and returns them to cages observing density guidelines.
• Cleans animal, feed and waste from floors.
• Stacks and moves crated egg samples from areas.
• Follows bio-security guidelines and bird health processes.
• Adheres to GMPs, sanitary conditions and reports safety/quality concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
