Job summary

Cobb is seeking a hands-on animal care associate in Missouri to perform bird handling, vaccination, and housing tasks across flock management activities. The role involves lifting, trimming, sanitation, and movement of birds under strict biosecurity protocols.

Workweeks are Monday through Friday with a first shift from 5:00 am, with schedule subject to production needs. The job requires attention to attendance and area experience as described in company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Rotate tasks of catching birds to hold for vaccination and performing vaccination on birds (20%)
• Rotate tasks of housing: Catch birds and scan wing band for identification and place in pen to be badged (use animal tag pliers to attach badge to wing web)
• Use wire cutters to remove wing and leg bands and badges from hens prior to live haul, catch spent hens and load into trailer for transport to live haul bay
• Remove used litter from houses, place new shavings per housing schedule, maintain litter of flocks in production
• Runs belts and/or augers in cage, trap, and FCR houses to remove litter and spent feed, transport litter to litter shed
