Job summary

You will monitor barn conditions, report issues, and perform light maintenance on facilities and equipment. Responsibilities include securing premises, documenting daily tasks, observing bird health and resource needs, handling mortality, moving birds, cleaning poultry houses, and following safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Secure the chicken house and premises, ensuring doors are locked to protect birds and deny access to unauthorized personnel.
• Document completed tasks daily and weekly.
• Monitor bird health, feed, light, air, and water supply.
• Collect and dispose of mortality as required.
• Move birds and manage lights and egg lines.
• Observe and maintain ventilation and cleaning of poultry houses.
• Operate required equipment safely and follow safety policies.
• Record observations for Production Manager/Supervisor.
• Perform general duties to maintain facilities and equipment.
