Job summary

Hoover Hatchery is seeking a Breeder Service Tech - IA to assist in poultry flock maintenance under the supervision of the Breed Operations Manager – IA. You will coordinate deliveries, collaborate with contract growers, and ensure compliance with set policies and schedules.

This role requires hands-on experience with poultry, good communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team. A valid driver’s license is essential, and some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Animal Science, Poultry Science, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Ability to earn required certifications.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assists Breed Operations Manager – IA in maintaining poultry flocks.
• Coordinates breeder chick deliveries with contract growers.
• Audits contract grower farms and maintains records.
• Identifies performance issues using production reports and coordinates improvements.
• Participates in vaccination and biological testing schedules.
