Responsibilities include insemination, semen collection, weight management, and assisting with semen evaluation. Biosecurity protocols and physical tasks are part of daily duties; shift may include overtime and schedule variations.

Qualifications

• Priority consideration will be provided to internal applicants first.
• Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred.
• Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.
• Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months. If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months. Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
• Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
• Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.

Responsibilities

• Insemination of hens and semen placement by team members with rotation between tasks.
• Collect semen free of contaminants and inspect quality and record scores.
• Weighing of males and adjust their feed based on weights.
• Assist management in semen evaluation using microscope and densimeter; replace males with unacceptable semen quality.
• Duties may include washing/disinfecting vehicles, cleaning AI equipment, sanitizing breakroom, trimming beaks/vents, and euthanizing weak birds as per policy.
