Job summary

IPG is seeking a Pouch Operator in Chicago to operate Pouch 1 & 2 and produce bubble pouches. You will set up, run, and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring runs meet technical specs and changeovers are performed correctly.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 2+ years in manufacturing, basic math and English, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. IPG offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
2+ years in a manufacturing environment / machine operator experience preferred.
Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours; lift up to 50 lbs; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate and troubleshoot equipment and processes.
Ensure first offs and changeovers meet technical specifications and standards.
Maintain proper setup parameters and improve where needed.
Coach assistants and helpers with clear, precise instructions when assigned.
Ensure materials for changeover are available and secured prior to set-ups.
Ensure product is packed and identified per specifications.
Maintain accurate inventory and control of materials and supplies.
Minimize downtime through proper equipment setup and material readiness.
Oversee assistants/packers and provide clear instruction.
Perform duties as outlined in the assistant job description and other assigned tasks.
