Job summary

Explorers Learning Academy in Longview, TX is hiring a Potty Training Teacher to support toddlers through a key developmental milestone. The role focuses on creating a nurturing, safe classroom and guiding children with positive reinforcement.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, experience with toddlers, and be able to pass background checks. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with toddlers or licensed childcare preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must pass all required background checks.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and actively engage with children.

Responsibilities

• Guide children through potty-training using positive reinforcement.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Follow each child’s individualized potty-training plan and communicate with families.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities.
• Assist with diaper changes, toileting, handwashing, and hygiene routines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play.
• Complete daily reports and communicate progress with families.
• Follow Texas Child Care Licensing standards and center policies.

Responsibilities:

• Guide and support children through the potty-training process using positive reinforcement.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Follow each child's individualized potty-training plan while maintaining communication with parents.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities.
• Assist with diaper changes, toileting, handwashing, and hygiene routines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom.
