Job summary

Primoris Gas Operations, a division of Primoris Services Corporation, is hiring laborers to perform potholing using vacuum excavation equipment for hydro and air projects. A valid driver’s license is required; CDL is a plus.

This is a union position with weekly pay and benefits available through the union. Responsibilities include safely locating utilities, operating tools, interpreting markings, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior potholing, excavation, or utility locating experience (preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of underground utility systems and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of potholing locations and findings.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures, including traffic control where required.
• Assist with general labor duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Inspect and maintain potholing equipment for proper functioning.

Job Overview:

We are actively hiring laborersto perform potholing using vacuum excavation equipment for both hydro and air. This position requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. While not required, a CDL is preferred for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely locate and expose underground utilities per site plans and markings.
• Operate various construction and excavation tools (e.g., shovels, probes).
• Read and interpret utility locate markings and utility maps.
• Maintain accurate records of potholing locations and findings.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including traffic control where required.
• Assist with general labor duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Inspect and maintain potholing equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior experience in potholing, excavation, or utility locating (preferred but not required).
• Knowledge of underground utility systems and safety practices.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL a plus).
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor daily.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience operating vacuum trucks or hydro-excavation equipment.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Familiarity with utility locating technologies

• Pay rate determined by union. Additional compensation for a class A CDL with a tanker endorsement.
