Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care through the nursing process.

You will coordinate care, perform assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to achieve optimal outcomes. Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, educating patients and families, maintaining infection control, and documenting care and education in the medical record.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required to practice in Mississippi or state of residence.
• BCLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred depending on unit.
• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care following nursing process and orders.
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to plan and evaluate care.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post- discharge care.
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure patient safety.
• Document care and education thoroughly in the medical record.
