Job summary

Synchrony Pharmacy is seeking a registered nurse to administer vaccines at clinics for the upcoming flu season. This 1st shift, PRN, travel seasonal role may require overnight stays.

You will prepare and assist in vaccine administration, provide pharmacological information to health care professionals, counsel patients on vaccines, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Travel is required as necessary.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing, ADN, Diploma, B.S. or M.S.N. degree from an NLN accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and assists in the administration of vaccines.
• Administering vaccines on behalf of SynchronyPharmacy.
• Provides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patents on drug therapies.
• Complies with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the State Board of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control protocols.
• Travel including overnight stay as necessary.

Licenses/Certifications

• Current unencumbered registered nursing license in the state of practice.
• Valid CPR certification.

Experience

• Five (5) years’ experience in a pharmacy environment preferred. Healthcare, senior living industry or long-term care environment preferred.
• Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
