Amerit Fleet Solutions in Menands, NY is seeking a Diesel & Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our nationwide fleet maintenance team. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues to keep vehicles running reliably.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ hands-on experience performing diesel and automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to own and maintain personal tools and toolbox.
• Willingness to meet physical demands and pass pre-employment screenings including drug screen and DOT physical if required.

$36.00 - $46.00 hr | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits within 30 Days

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $36.00 – $46.00/hour (based on experience) Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every Friday Schedule: Tuesday - Friday: 2:00pm - 10:30pm | Saturday: 8am - 4:30pm

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing diesel and automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
