Amerit Fleet Solutions in San Luis Obispo, CA is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician/Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles. The role requires strong diagnostic skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, document repairs, and follow safety procedures in a dynamic, mobile/shop environment.

Formación

• 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing automotive vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to meet pre-employment screenings (drug screen and DOT physical if required).

Pay & Schedule

Pay: $30.00-$36.00/hour (based on experience)Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every FridaySchedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm

• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
