Amerit Fleet Solutions in Durham, NC is seeking a skilled Fleet Technician to repair and maintain light to medium duty fleet vehicles. The role ensures safe and efficient operation with a focus on quality workmanship and timely service.

Typical schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime eligibility and pay on Fridays. Compensation ranges from $32 to $38 per hour, plus potential new hire bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school.
• Must have validDriver's License.
• Proficient computer skills: Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium duty vehicles.
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required.
• Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles.
• Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles.
• Respond to off-site client requests as needed.

Position Summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Fleet Technician in Durham, NC. The Automotive Technician is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of light and medium duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation.

Pay range: $32/hour - $38/hour, dependent on experience. This is an overtime eligible role of time and a half. We pay weekly, every Friday. We may also be able to provide a potential new hire bonus.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Location: This position will primarily be in Durham, NC with the addition of a few satellite locations

What the Mobile Service Technician role looks like:

• Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium duty vehicles
• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles
• Maintain general upkeep and maintenance of Mobile Service Truck
• Respond to off-site client requests as needed
• Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary
• Perform other duties as required

What our ideal candidate looks like:

• At least 5 years experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school
• Must have valid Driver's License
• Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
• Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job
