Amerit Fleet Solutions is seeking an Automotive Technician/Mechanic in Norfolk, VA to service light to medium duty fleet vehicles. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and document repairs for ongoing fleet reliability.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on automotive experience, strong diagnostics, and a valid driver’s license. You will work both independently and with a team, maintain tools, and adhere to safety standards in a mobile/shop setting.

Qualifications

What You'll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile, outside and/or shop environment with exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical materials such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential job functions that include frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces. This position requires regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment. Technicians may be required to work at heights using ladders or elevated platforms and must be able to safely perform duties in various weather conditions. Due to the active work environment and movement of large vehicles, the ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace is required.
