Responsibilities

PURPOSE: The Material Handler has rotating responsibilities for doing color changes, transporting product and raw materials around the production floor and doing floor maintenance. Responsible for all other assigned duties as well. This can be a great training ground for a technical position.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to the following):

  • Doing color changes
  • Transporting product and raw material around the production floor with a pallet jack
  • Sorting and palletizing packed boxes for shipping

Starting Pay: $20.00/hr

Qualifications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders.
  • Must be able to be on feet for entire shift and be able to bend, stoop and stretch regularly.
  • Must be able to differentiate color.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good work and attendance record
  • Ability to work extended shifts and weekends as necessary
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Good safety record
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Forklift truck experience a plus
  • Good general level of reading comprehension and basic math skills
