SUBSTITUTE TEACHER AIDES

Qualifications:

• Teaching Assistants: NYS Teaching Assistant Certification
• Teacher Aides: High School Diploma
• Experience preferred

Duties include but are not limited to:

Substitute Teaching Assistants:

• Assist the classroom teacher in various routine activities and record keeping tasks; reinforce instruction; go over lessons with students individually, answer questions, grade assignments.
• Supervise students and report progress regarding behavior; exercise good judgment; reinforce classroom procedures; arrange conferences with students; set up audiovisual equipment; perform related duties as required.

Substitute Teacher Aides:

• Manage records, materials, and equipment; attend to the physical needs of children; assist students; perform other support duties as directed by the teacher.

Immediate Supervisor: School Principals

Duration: 2024-2025 School Year

Salary: Substitute Teaching Assistants: $120.00 per day; Substitute Teacher Aides: $116.00 per day

Note: SUB TEACHING ASSISTANTS MUST HAVE CURRENT NYSED TEACHING ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION. SUB TEACHER AIDES MUST HAVE HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA. EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES PREFERRED.
