Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Senior Database Administrator with strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL (5+ years) and Oracle Database (3+ years). This is a remote opportunity for someone with deep expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, backup/recovery strategies, and database security in AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and manage Aurora PostgreSQL and Oracle databases
• Perform backup, recovery, and high availability setups
• Tune and optimize database performance and queries
• Enforce database security policies and conduct audits
• Design schemas, stored procedures, and collaborate with dev teams
• Provide support and troubleshooting for complex DB issues
• Document procedures, issues, and resolutions clearly

Requirements:

• 7+ years of total DBA experience
• 5+ years in PostgreSQL, 3+ years in Oracle
• Strong knowledge of AWS RDS, Aurora, DMS, and SCT
• Experience with PostgreSQL replication, HA, and disaster recovery
• Skilled in SQL, PL/pgSQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning
• Automation experience using AWS Lambda, CloudFormation
• Proficient with Linux/Unix and shell scripting

Preferred Qualifications:

• PostgreSQL or Oracle DBA certifications
• Familiarity with tools like pgAdmin and OEM
• Experience with Oracle 19c Multitenant and MySQL a plus
