Job description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Senior Database Administrator with strong hands-on experience in PostgreSQL (5+ years) and Oracle Database (3+ years). This is a remote opportunity for someone with deep expertise in database architecture, performance tuning, backup/recovery strategies, and database security in AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and manage Aurora PostgreSQL and Oracle databases
Perform backup, recovery, and high availability setups
Tune and optimize database performance and queries
Enforce database security policies and conduct audits
Design schemas, stored procedures, and collaborate with dev teams
Provide support and troubleshooting for complex DB issues
Document procedures, issues, and resolutions clearly

Requirements:
7+ years of total DBA experience
5+ years in PostgreSQL, 3+ years in Oracle
Strong knowledge of AWS RDS, Aurora, DMS, and SCT
Experience with PostgreSQL replication, HA, and disaster recovery
Skilled in SQL, PL/pgSQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning
Automation experience using AWS Lambda, CloudFormation
Proficient with Linux/Unix and shell scripting

Preferred Qualifications:
PostgreSQL or Oracle DBA certifications
Familiarity with tools like pgAdmin and OEM
Experience with Oracle 19c Multitenant and MySQL a plus
