Infosys in Irvine, CA is seeking an Infrastructure Consultant 2 to design, deploy, and optimize PostgreSQL and AWS-based infrastructure. You will lead migrations, ensure high availability, and enforce security across environments.

You will collaborate with onsite and offshore teams, perform capacity planning, root cause analyses, and document technical guidance for deployed systems. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge database technologies in a cloud-first organization.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in PostgreSQL administration and tuning.
• Experience migrating SQL Server/Oracle to PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS services (DMS, CloudWatch, S3, IAM).
• Ability to implement high availability, backups, and DR.
• Familiarity with security policies and governance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve incidents and document root causes with preventive recommendations.
• Lead evaluation of client IT infrastructure and prepare actionable assessment reports.
• Design scalable, cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions and develop technical documentation.
• Coordinate deployment readiness and post-deployment testing; manage version control.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, emergency fixes, and upgrades.
• Perform performance data analysis and capacity planning to optimize systems.
• Conduct security checks, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
• Identify automation opportunities and propose efficiency improvements.
• Liaise with onsite, offshore, and vendor teams to document project requirements.
