Job summary

Infosys Cloud unit in Irvine seeks an Infrastructure Consultant 2 to drive PostgreSQL administration, migrations, and cloud-based database operations. You will manage deployments, performance tuning, and security governance while collaborating with onsite and offshore teams on large-scale infrastructure projects.

You will lead PostgreSQL migrations, optimize HA/DR, and coordinate with application teams to ensure robust, scalable data services in AWS environments.

Qualifications

• Install, configure, manage, secure, monitor, and tune PostgreSQL databases.
• Lead migrations from SQL Server and Oracle to PostgreSQL; remediate schemas and procedures.
• Manage PostgreSQL on AWS; ensure backup, replication, and DR readiness.
• Implement security policies, roles, and governance for database estates.
• Collaborate with app teams to optimize infrastructure and automate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with client and internal teams to resolve incidents and document root causes.
• Evaluate client IT infrastructure and prepare actionable assessment reports.
• Design scalable, cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions and document deployments.
• Coordinate releases, environment readiness, and post-deployment testing.
• Support capacity planning, performance data analysis, and optimization opportunities.
• Lead migration activities and ensure smooth transition to PostgreSQL.
