Job summary

Render is seeking a Product Engineer to own end-to-end Postgres projects within a fast-growing cloud platform. You will manage and scale a powerful Postgres fleet while collaborating closely with design, product, and other engineers to deliver robust features.

The role emphasizes ownership, distributed systems, and experience operating Postgres at scale. You will help evolve capabilities and participate in on-call duties, as the company grows globally.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software shipping experience, ideally in growth startups.
• Experience collaborating with product and design stakeholders.
• Strong ownership mindset and pragmatic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Render Postgres fleet.
• Collaborate with design, product, and other engineers across teams.
• Evolve the Postgres product as it scales and handles complexity.
• Participate in team planning, roadmapping, and goal-setting.
• Contribute to shaping team culture and practices as the company grows.
• Develop new capabilities for the Postgres product.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities with the team.
