Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Virology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, Environmental Health Sciences, or a closely related field is required.
Strong background in infectious diseases, molecular microbiology, virology, host–pathogen interactions, antimicrobial or antiviral therapeutics, and/or cell and molecular biology.
Experience with antimicrobial peptides, molecular mechanisms of pathogen susceptibility or resistance, translational therapeutics, or infectious disease research encouraged.

Responsibilities

Contribute to multidisciplinary research on molecular determinants of infectious disease and developing innovative strategies for prevention and treatment.
Engage in studies of emerging and zoonotic pathogens, host–pathogen interactions, antimicrobial and antiviral therapeutics, vaccine and diagnostic development.
Work in both laboratory-based and computational/translational research and develop new collaborative projects.
