A postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Reyad Elbarbary’s lab at Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, Hershey, PA. The lab focuses on RNA biology and musculoskeletal research, including roles of non-coding RNAs and RNA processing in bone regeneration, and mechanisms underlying impaired bone repair in disease models such as obesity and diabetes. The research uses cell culture, mouse models, and human samples, employing advanced techniques in RNA biology, bone biology, and osteoimmunology.
Candidates should hold a PhD, have a strong publication record, and experience in molecular biology and biochemistry. Skills in genetic mouse models, bone biology, immunology, or bioinformatics are advantageous. The position offers a collaborative environment within the Center for Orthopaedic Research and Translational Science (CORTS). This is a one-year limited-term appointment, contingent upon background checks.
