Job summary

The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a highly driven Postdoctoral Research Scholar to support the development, testing, and scaling of innovative implementation science methods for real‑world settings. The fellow will work with PI Hyzak and multidisciplinary partners to advance adoption and sustainability of evidence‑based innovations in healthcare and community settings.

Qualifications

• PhD, ScD, or DrPH in public health, translational health sciences, social work, behavioral science, epidemiology, or a related field.
• Methodological training in implementation science.
• Experience in human-centered co-design applied to implementation strategy development.
• Experience analyzing implementation and outcome data.
• Content expertise in traumatic brain injury preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and conduct of implementation science studies, including hybrid effectiveness‑implementation studies and pragmatic trials.
• Develop, refine, and evaluate implementation strategies using human-centered design principles.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative data collection and analyses (interviews, surveys, EHR data).
• Publish results in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Support community partnerships and grant applications.
• Oversee day-to-day lab functions and contribute to training.
