This position is housed at the Gladstone Institutes and focuses on therapeutic gene editing for motor neuron disease. Projects will employ iPSC-derived tissues and potential animal models, and are funded by NIH, disease groups, and the Innovative Genomics Institute (IGI). The work will collaborate closely with Jennifer Doudna and multiple Gladstone and UCSF labs. A strong background in molecular biology and cell culture is required. Novel genome engineering techniques will be used, providing significant opportunities for high-profile publications as most work is unpublished.
