The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at The Ohio State University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to pursue advanced research training under the mentorship of Dr. Raymond Gao.

The successful candidate will collaborate on designing and executing innovative research focused on large-scale genetic and genomic data analysis, genetic risk prediction, and the development of AI/ML approaches for glaucoma and Alzheimer's disease.

Formación

• PhD (or equivalent) in genetic epidemiology, statistical genetics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, CS, or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and interpret large-scale genetic, genomic, and phenotypic datasets (biobank, cohort, GWAS).
• Develop and evaluate genetic risk prediction models including polygenic risk scores.
• Apply AI/ML methods to integrate genetic and clinical data for disease risk prediction.
• Prepare manuscripts for publication and present findings at scientific conferences.
• Contribute to grant proposals for state and federal funding opportunities.
• Develop and implement novel analytical and computational methods for biomedical research.
