Job summary

Description

The research team of Dr. Madelyn Frumkin is seeking a motivatedpostdoctoral scholar to join our dynamic and interdisciplinaryteam. The successful candidate will work on a 5-year, NIH-fundedproject focused on leveraging multimodal digital health data toimprove understanding, prediction, and treatment of postoperativepain. The work sits at the intersection of translational painscience, psychological science, and data science. The postdoctoralscholar will have opportunities to lead secondary analyses ofexisting intensive longitudinal data sets, assist with thecollection and management of multimodal digital health data, mentorgraduate and undergraduate trainees, and advance their independentprogram of research. The successful candidate may also contributeto other projects in the lab, including the design and evaluationof digital interventions for chronic pain and chronic illnesses(e.g., cancer-related distress).

The lab is housed within the Center for Technology and BehavioralHealth (CTBH), a P30 “Center of Excellence” funded by the NationalInstitute on Drug Abuse. CTBH has numerous opportunities fortraining and mentorship in digital health, novel data analyticmethods, manuscript preparation, grant writing, and more.Opportunities for clinical hours and supervision are alsoavailable.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

• 1. Candidates must have a PhD in psychology, data science, computerscience, engineering, or a related field.
• 2. Candidates must be proficient in quantitative data analysis, asevidenced by a track record of publications and/orpresentations.
• 3. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communicationskills.
• 4. Candidates must be willing to work primarily in Lebanon,NH.

Preferred qualifications

• 1. Experience analyzing ecological momentary assessment and/orpassive physiological data using R and/or Python.
• 2. Clinical or research experience in the fields of chronic pain,mental health, and/or substance use disorders.
• 3. Interest or experience in digital app design anddeployment.
