Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher in College Station, TX. The role focuses on process safety research within the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center, collaborating with PI-led teams and supervising junior researchers as needed.

The candidate will engage in independent and collaborative research, develop proposals for funding, and contribute to workshops and publications.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree required.
• PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience in systems modelling, process safety, risk engineering or reliability engineering helpful.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research under the supervision of a PI or project lead.
• Perform independent research in a technical/scientific domain.
• Supervise other research personnel as needed.
• Develop proposals to solicit funding and support center activities.
• Contribute to process safety analyses and system fault detection work.
• Assist in organizing center workshops and symposia.
• Assist in writing and reviewing research proposals and reports.
• Support graduate and undergraduate students in research responsibilities.
• Carry out related duties as required.
