Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Oceanography, Data Science, Ocean Engineering, Hydrography or a related field and defended dissertation.
• Two or more years of data science research experience or related work.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain TWIC.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent and collaborative research on ocean observing networks and uncrewed systems.
• Develop statistical, mathematical, and computational methods for large data sets.
• Prepare technical reports, peer‑reviewed papers, and presentations.
• Collaborate with academic, industry, and government partners on research initiatives.
• Support design, testing, and evaluation of uncrewed systems and data integration.
• Provide programmatic and technical support to project leaders and teams.
