Qualifications
- PhD in materials science or related engineering degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in materials synthesis and characterization.
- Experience with fabrication/testing of devices for sensing and/or energy storage.
- Knowledge/experience with commercialization and productization of microwave sintering technology is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Complete research and development required for microwave sintering product development.
- Investigate the effects of electric fields during synthesis using characterization tools.
- Work with CMU Swartz center on commercialization strategy.
- Lab maintenance and safety leadership.
- Present findings at conferences and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Perform other project-related duties as assigned.
