The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) seeks candidates for the position of Postdoc Research Associate in the Medicine Department in Peoria, IL. The role focuses on translational cancer research examining microbiota and bacterial extracellular vesicles in anti-tumor immunity and cancer immunotherapy, with emphasis on lung cancer.

PhD in cancer biology, immunology, microbiology, molecular/cellular biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or related field.

Responsibilities

Designs and executes in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo experiments investigating microbiota and bacterial extracellular vesicles in anti-tumor immunity and immunotherapy response (lung cancer).
Performs molecular/biochemical assays and cellular assays including flow cytometry, qRT-PCR, immunoblotting, ELISA, cloning, and CRISPR-based editing.
Generates and analyzes data; prepares publication-quality figures and supports grant applications.
Coordinates with PI, lab members, core facilities, and collaborators; ensures biosafety and regulatory compliance.
