Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to lead and supervise original cancer research projects. The role centers on planning experiments, data collection and interpretation, with publication outcomes and collaboration under faculty supervision.

The candidate will work on breast cancer models, handling cell culture and molecular assays, and will prepare regulatory protocols (IACUC/IRB) as part of the project.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in area of project specialization.
• Ability to plan and supervise research with supervision by graduate faculty.
• Experience with data interpretation and publication processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments (cell culture, transfections, mutagenesis, Western blotting, RT-qPCR, ELISAs).
• Prepare regulatory protocols (IACUC/IRB) for studies.
• Maintain equipment and ensure supplies.
• Contribute to data collection, analysis and interpretation.
• Prepare reports, presentations and manuscripts.
