Job summary

University of Minnesota in Twin Cities, MN, seeks a Postdoctoral Associate in Psychology to investigate psychopathology, addiction, and related conditions using genetic designs. Anticipated start is Sept 1, 2026, for 12 months with renewal possible based on funding and performance.

Qualifications

• PhD in a field related to behavioral genetics or statistical genetics, completed by start date.
• Candidates must demonstrate authorization to work in the United States at the University of Minnesota by the start date.
• Excellent written communication as demonstrated by scientific publications.

Responsibilities

• Lead new and existing scientific projects related to psychopathology and addiction, including project design, data collection/management/analysis, and manuscript preparation.
• Discuss with mentors and plan new avenues of investigation including grant proposals for genetically informative research on substance use, addiction, psychopathology, and related traits.
• Engage in seminars and training opportunities as a member of the academic department.
