NEOMED’s Smith Laboratory, in collaboration with the Andrew Pieper Laboratory at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve University, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to study visual system dysfunction and neurodegeneration after traumatic brain injury.

The fellow will design and execute experiments, analyze data, and collaborate across teams, with a starting salary range and a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• PhD in a related field or MD degree with sufficient research training.
• Evidence of independent research skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts independent and collaborative research, designs experiments, collects and analyzes data, and writes manuscripts.
• Present results and progress to the team.
• Maintain laboratory safety, regulatory compliance, and equipment.
• Mentor and train students and research staff as needed.
