The Department of Physics conducts state-of-the-art research across various physics and related fields. Faculty mentor graduate students in research, supporting their professional development and degree completion. The Physics Department seeks a postdoctoral researcher in spectroscopy and materials synthesis. The focus will be on developing and characterizing new materials for solar applications, creating novel spectrometers, and studying electro-optical properties from visible to Terahertz ranges. The researcher will collaborate closely with chemistry and engineering teams, measure ultrafast photoconductivity, and explore the physical origins of these properties. The role includes training and mentoring students, contributing to publications, and grant writing.
PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or related fields; research experience in spectroscopy or materials growth and characterization.
