St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Moreno lab.
The position focuses on pathogens from Vibrionaceae, combining molecular microbiology, proteomics and structural biology to map macromolecular assemblies in native contexts. The successful candidate will lead projects at the interface of molecular microbiology, host-pathogen interactions and structural biology, with a strong publication record and experience in
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, or related discipline.
- Strong foundation in molecular biology, mass spectrometry-based proteomics, or chemical probe development.
- Prior experience with protein complex analysis and crosslinking chemistry is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with manuscript and presentation contributions.
- Commitment to scientific rigor, integrity, and teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment.
Responsabilités
- Lead studies on molecular and ecological drivers of pathogen emergence.
- Design and execute experiments across molecular microbiology, host-pathogen interactions and structural biology.
- Analyze large-scale proteomic data and interpret results.
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to collaborative projects.
