The University of Wisconsin–Madison invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position focused on community-engaged research in maternal-child health, Indigenous health, and health disparities. The successful candidate will join an international team led by Professor Zoua Vang and collaborate closely with research associates and community stakeholders.

Requirements

– PhD in epidemiology, global health, demography, sociology, human development, or social work

– Strong data analysis/programming skills in STATA and/or SAS

– Experience with advanced statistics (e.g., longitudinal data analysis, logistic regression, survival analysis)

– Demonstrated publication record in maternal-child health, health disparities, or Indigenous health

– Experience working with administrative data and/or medical records is an asset

– Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

– Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, citation software, and bibliographic databases

– Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills

– Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

– Model and analyze survey and medical record data

– Prepare manuscripts for academic publication

– Develop plain language materials (report summaries, infographics) for policy and community audiences

– Independently lead new manuscript development

– Contribute to funding proposals

– Assist with project-related tasks, including reports and presentations

– Manage, clean, and document databases
