The successful candidate will work with faculty in the UTA High Energy Physics group on the development of novel detector technologies and instrumentation concepts for future particle physics experiments. Research areas may include new and emerging quantum sensors based on nitrogen-vacancy centers, development of novel readout electronics and readout systems, and exploratory detector concepts that advance blue-sky instrumentation R&D for high energy physics. The position will provide opportunities to contribute to detector design, laboratory measurements, data analysis, prototype development, publications, and proposal development, while working collaboratively with faculty, students, and external research partners.
