The Thomas-Tikhonenko laboratory is recruiting postdoctoral fellows to pursue newly funded basic and translational research projects aimed at elucidating the role of aberrant mRNA splicing in defining cancer vulnerabilities and identifying new targets for therapy. Our research spans hematologic malignancies and solid tumors, combining mechanistic studies with the development of novel immunotherapies. Please visit the lab website for ongoing projects, recent publications, and current members. We are located in the Colket Translational Research Building of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, which shares a contiguous campus with the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine. This setting provides ample opportunities for interactions with the NCI-designated Abramson Cancer Center, the Institute for Immunology and Immune Health, the Institute for Biomedical Informatics, and other research programs.
We seek ambitious scientists who thrive on challenges, enjoy working in a highly collaborative and dynamic research environment, and are eager to make their marks. Strong candidates will hold PhD, MD, DVM, or equivalent doctoral degrees and have demonstrated expertise in at least one of the following fields: RNA biology, cancer genetics/genomics, cell signaling, immunotherapy, or bioinformatics. Recent graduates with strong research accomplishments in adjacent areas are also encouraged to apply. Eligibility for federal training grants is a plus but not a requirement.
