The Division of Biostatistics at NYU Langone Health is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to advance methodology development and applied collaborative research in causal inference.
You will work with Dr. Samrachana Adhikari on semiparametric Bayesian methods, Bayesian causal inference for policy evaluation, and time-varying exposure analysis, with potential for independent funding.
Ph.D. in Statistics or a related quantitative field, strong R/Python skills, and a record of publications are required.

NYU Langone Health is one of the world’s preeminent academic medical centers and one of the nation’s premier centers of excellence in health care, biomedical research, and medical education. The Department of Population Health in the NYU School of Medicine was founded in 2012, and consists of core areas of biostatistics, epidemiology, healthful behavior change, comparative effectiveness and decision science, behavioral economics and health policy, and medical ethics.
The postdoctoral fellow will engage in both methodology development and applied collaborative research in causal inference working closely with Dr. Samrachana Adhikari. Topics of interest include semiparametric Bayesian methods; Bayesian causal inference for policy evaluation; causal methods for time varying exposure and interference; and modern quasi-experimental methods. The fellow will have opportunities in pursuing independent funding.
Applicant should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Statistics, Computer Science, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or other quantitative areas. Strong statistical knowledge and computational skills (being proficient in R and/or Python) are required. A successful candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, track record of peer reviewed publications, and strong motivation and dependability.
