Job summary

The Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM) is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to support a project developing a vaccine-testing platform. You will perform advanced immunology work, antigen uptake, presentation, and in vitro validation of tissue constructs.

Work will be conducted in a collaborative team environment with established protocols; you will help prepare reports and manuscripts and contribute to data collection, analysis, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in cell culture and immunology techniques.
• Experience with antigen presentation and lymphocyte activation.
• Experience in development and testing of tissue engineering constructs.
• Background in biofabrication/bioprinting for tissue constructs.
• Background in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Materials Science is a plus.
• Proficiency with data organization and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced immunological protocols including antigen presentation, T and B cell activation, cell culture and expansion.
• Assemble 3D constructs using biofabrication techniques.
• Collect and organize data.
• Assist in preparation of reports and manuscripts.
