The University of Utah – School of Medicine invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellow position focusing on molecular virology. The project explores host-pathogen dynamics in oncogenic herpesviruses and aims at mechanisms of reactivation, regulation, chromatin interactions, and drug discovery targeting EBV and KSHV proteins.

The ideal candidate has hands-on cloning, cell culture, sequencing, RT-PCR, and immunoassay experience, with strong English communication and teamwork skills for

Qualifications

• Cloning, cell culture, sequencing and RT‑PCR experience.
• Deep sequencing, protein expression, immunoassays (ELISA and Western Blot) and big data analysis helpful.
• Ability to work in a team environment is important.

Responsabilités

• Plan experiments and contribute to manuscripts and grant applications.
• Carry out bench research and prepare manuscripts for publication.
• Present findings at group meetings and collaborate with other scientists and clinicians.
