Job summary

Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to investigate vascular dysfunction in metabolic disorders and aging. You will contribute to projects on cellular signaling, vascular remodeling, inflammation, and metabolism in vascular pathophysiology, with emphasis on independent and collaborative research in a dynamic lab, mentoring students and publishing results.

The role requires a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a biomedical discipline.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy.
• Experience with transgenic mouse models and colony management.
• Strong experimental design, data analysis and interpretation; good written and oral communication.
• Vascular biology background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct independent research studies.
• Perform cell-based, molecular, imaging, and animal experiments.
• Analyze data, prepare manuscripts, and present research findings.
• Mentor students and contribute to a collaborative research environment.
