Albany Med Health System is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our Laboratory in molecular and cellular biology, inflammation, metabolism, and cardiovascular disease. The fellow will develop expertise in molecular techniques, mouse models, and translational research while leading projects and publishing findings.

The role offers collaboration with a supportive team, opportunities to present at conferences, and mentorship in grant writing and career development.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, or related field.
• Peer‑reviewed publications demonstrating research experience.
• Excellent scientific writing, communication, and organizational skills; able to work independently.

Responsabilités

• Design and conduct experiments addressing cardiovascular and metabolic questions.
• Apply molecular and cellular biology techniques (PCR, Western blotting, immunofluorescence, cell culture).
• Work with mouse models and perform in vivo studies as needed.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data; prepare manuscripts and presentations.
• Contribute to grant applications and develop new research directions.
• Collaborate with laboratory and research teams to advance projects.
