Qualifications

• Ph.D. must be completed by the appointment start date.
• Experience with system-level modeling of infrastructure, risk, resilience, or reliability.

• Strong analytical, programming, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to conduct independent research within a multidisciplinary team.
• Prior rail/transportation infrastructure resilience experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on infrastructure resilience, risk assessment, and data-driven modeling.
• Develop and apply computational models to evaluate performance, vulnerability, and resilience.
• Work with large heterogeneous datasets including climate projections.
• Prepare technical reports and peer‑reviewed publications; coordinate with collaborators.
• Mentor or support graduate and undergraduate researchers as appropriate.
