Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a postdoctoral fellow to lead an integrated neuroscience project exploring social decision-making using molecular genetics, imaging, in vivo electrophysiology, optogenetics, quantitative behavioral analysis, and computational modeling.

You will conduct literature reviews, study design, experiments, data collection and analysis, mentoring of junior trainees, and dissemination through writing and publication in collaboration with the PI and Mount Sinai community.

Qualifications

• Postdoctoral fellow with a PhD in neuroscience, biology, psychology, engineering, computer science or related field.
• Experience leading research from concept to dissemination and mentoring junior trainees.
• Strong programming and data analysis skills in MATLAB or Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead an in-depth project from conceptualization through dissemination of results.
• Design studies, perform experiments, and analyze data to answer core questions.
• Mentor junior trainees and collaborate with the PI and Mount Sinai community.
