The University at Buffalo invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate in Electrical Engineering to advance scalable quantum-sensing platforms using NV centers in diamond, integrating optical microscopy with microwave, RF control, AODs, SLMs, and DMDs.

The successful candidate will design and operate advanced experiments, develop NV-center measurement and control techniques, implement software for automation and data analysis, and mentor students while helping shape a new quantum-sensing

Qualifications

• PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Quantum Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field by the appointment start date.
• Experience with experimental quantum-sensing or related AMO/quantum physics areas.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Design, construction, and operation of advanced optical and quantum-sensing experiments.
• Development of multiplexed NV-center measurement and control techniques.
• Development of software for experimental automation, data acquisition, and analysis.
